Images Of Beans On Trees

The Auberge des Gallant Courvalloise

The Courvalloise is a small outdoor center where you can make skiing, snowshoeing and sledding on inner tube located some kilometers northeast of Drummondville, along the St. Francis River.

trails criss-cross country skiing Forest Drummond and are largely drawn on bike paths and roads passable very broad and very flat.

is good news for fans of skate: you can practice this technique on most of the network. It was at this clientele that I particularly recommend the place.

But I'm the classic and I must say that I am a bit bored in the wider trails which have very long straights who have undermined morale. See also ahead me, it depresses me.

If you're like me, prefer paths 3, 4 and 5. They are less straight and more intimate. A section of footpath 3 is a narrow track reserved for the classical style that I really regretted not having taken while I was typing long lines right of the path 2.

Runway My favorite is the 5. It runs along the St. Francis River that has a chance to admire. And then this path is more tortuous and slightly less flat than the others.

Side home is about average. There is a chalet host serves as an outdoor rink. They sell soup and stuff to munch. There is also a small trailer that serves as waxing room. And there's this small relay in the middle of the trail network.

I have a nice walk on the paths of Courvalloise in excellent conditions, but say it's not the kind of place I'm burning with desire to revisit. The trails are a bit too spicy for my taste. "Functional" is probably the word that best describes them. As Rodger Brulotte say they "do the work" ... but without much panache.

What Are Good Stradages To Masterbait

Since it is connected to the network of trails Getaway Mont Rigaud, the Auberge des Gallant has become a destination country skiing interesting. Accommodations offering ski in the door does not abound and it is part of the lot.

I never slept at the hostel because it's not far from home. But I've eaten at his restaurant is very good. Say a little for a couple of weekends and skiing, not too far from Montreal, it's worth it.

Me that I often leave the hostel for hiking on Mount Rigaud. I leave my car in the parking lot of the sugar shack to the hostel. From there, a short trail leads to an unmaintained trail that the Escape has a funny name: the Flight of Castor.

I love this trail of 4.3 miles that climbs Mount Rigaud. It rises from the outset when we skied straight under a power line strike just the landscape. Then follows a steep and winding descent I am always proud of going down without falling.

Today, I fell at the first corner by hooking a ski in an asperity. I lost my hat and I found myself head buried in the snow. With the temperature around -15, I would have preferred to leave.

Then, the trail plunges into a forest and becomes more sinuous. Especially it bypasses the huge beaver pond in the middle of which there are nests of herons perched in dead trees.

Not long after, we arrive at the main loop of the Escape and can pursue its course in several ways. The fittest can "close the loop 'before heading back to the hostel for a total distance of about 22 km.

Today, I simply push up the picturesque Candy Mountain where I stayed for a very enjoyable. I found myself face to face with the owner of the establishment that served me coffee and pancakes cooked on a wood stove. It was the first time I stopped there, but it is certainly not the last.

's go back to the hostel to the Gallant Candy Mountain provides a path to a dozen miles. We can also do it in reverse and stop in hostel where you can have coffee in the lobby.

There is great amount of deer on Mount Rigaud and today I caught two that were being trampled a bit of trail.

Speaking of this: the interview is the very low slopes of the Escapade. Snowstorm or not, the equipment maintenance passes only once a week and done a pretty ordinary. For great tips, it's very beautiful. But there are also quite bumpy sections or potholed or badly drawn. As it's free, it's hard to complain. But saying do not get there expecting quality service comparable to that found in a "real" ski center charges.

The project "Occitan" Cussac and other reflections

Here's an interesting article that illustrates everything wrong in the communication Occitan

"The project Occitan Cussac"

  • A weak arguments and unnecessary

- Not a single referring to the word "Gascon", "Medoquine" or even "patois". This is how the Occitan Cussac (Gironde)? Who speaks it there? Do we even focus in this part of the Medoc?

- Occitan is placed on the same level as English and immigrant languages (actually below), always in the context of openness to the world. Nth iteration namby-pamby talk of going to our good feelings. Occitan, a language among many of the contemporary diversity. So why this one rather than another?

- Occitan is touted as a sort of updated software for children, inexpensive add-on: it means the class as a bilingual kindergarten class European allowing an awakening of the child. We will make geniuses of bilingual students. You know a lot of Polytechnique or ENA graduates passed through bilingual classes? They hide their game well

- A must on the love of the Republic, the two ex machina French. While France value is Republican. Love is the Republic. One can not escape the Republic. Especially, do not divide: as such, admire the skill is to learn the language of the country without speaking the local anchor, small patriotism. Of hypocrites.

Cussac, on the banks of the Gironde

It is likely that no teacher is fluent in its Médoquine Gascon. We will therefore send a youngish béarnaise, who teaches a simulated Bearn, as we send in Agen Guyenne, Languedoc, such as squatting or Muret. Cheers Occitania ...

  • Teaching Guyenne Agen in Gascony: a heresy

Let our young instit parachuted in Miramont-de-Guyenne, in guyennaise area of Lot-et-Garonne (ie non-Gascony). Is it interesting that a spell to go off in the missionary Aquitaine - when his status instit could procure him a position in the PA - to satisfy the whim of renaissantiste Occitanists premises that have managed to sell their bilingual class of parents anxious to give the best education possible? What is the meaning of the vocation of this lambda girl who, having learned the "Bearn" of its probable ancestors in a concern for local roots, go with all the goodwill of the world teach her poor Gascon bastardized in Guyenne, all in the name of unity and interchangeability Occitan dialects (as well as she knows Miramont, no Gascon not speak? Does she even know what the Gascon? Talk Does it still oc at Miramont?).

I am sensitive to the individual destinies of people and I am saddened by this manipulation of the willing. Gascon form in a girl of Beam to send in the big Occitan is nothing else than the reproduction of the pattern of mobility for French officials. The institutional Occitan manipulates young girls and boys with the lure of jobs in an era of questioning the stability of the teaching profession in schools. Pau is the incubator of Occitan. If I compare with the Basque case, we are once more ridiculous, abstract and ineffective bilingual teachers are "returnees" in the Basque country immediately where they teach unscrupulous batua the national language of neo-Basques. The

Occitan is an impasse lasting relativism dialect ("all dialects are equally worthy") fails on the refusal to fix areas where linguistic coherent policies. There are numerous examples: stirring dialects in the official communication of the Aquitaine region, indifference to the dialect taught in situ, what matters is whether the oc ... All this can only lead to evaporation of the remainder of Gascony, already initiated by sentimentally Midi-Pyrénées to the east. The only solution seems to be a clean break with the Occitan and Gascon developing a standard on the more conservative dialects (Philippe Lartigue argued the question).

I did not ask the question in addition to the painful practical interest of these bilingual classes, namely that they usually attract the children in the country (if available) but rather a social class mobile "pavilion" I want to say who sees this opportunity as the primary classes to put their children in rails stronger. Not forgetting the new behaviors
emerging, namely that the kids in these schools do not recognize in the patois of the last indigenous language being taught, where development of a morgue and a contempt. This is assuming there would of native speakers with whom the kids are in contact, which is the ultimate taboo Occitan, namely the refusal to see reality sociolinguistic disaster.

Lee Mead Ipone 4 Case

Sutton-in-Top

There is a kind of cross-country ski centers I particularly like: those where you can ski in mostly narrow paths reserved for classical paths in mountainous terrain in which to play and descents without risking to break the figure. Genre Richmond Melbourne, Charlesbourg, Campers Park in Sainte-Agathe ... and of course Sutton-in-Top .

in Sutton-in-High, we do not ski almost never on the flat. Entire network is plotted on a mountainside and there is always going up or down. And it's more enjoyable because the trails are properly configured, properly maintained and just wide enough for one to be comfortable on the track.

Corner forest trails that criss-cross is really superb. At the bottom of the hill, you can ski in a thick forest of coniferous trees. And later in the mountains, near the only shelter on the trail, you pass along a small river running into a pretty ravine.

Sutton-in-High has almost did not open this winter because the company who were operating was shut doors. But the community quickly organized to save the season. Fortunately because the Sutton area enjoys a cold winter "winter." While the snow was scarce elsewhere in Quebec, this corner of the Eastern Townships Eastern Townships after receiving centimeters centimeters.

I had the opportunity to realize this weekend because I've skied in the snow and under a constant deluge of flakes. The trees were laden with snow and wind would sometimes drop an amount such that I could not see where I went.

is when the conditions are like that he must go to Sutton-in-High. Negotiate with the topography becomes a real pleasure. When the tracks are frozen by cons, it must not be obvious to ski there.

If we can make a reproach to Sutton-on-Top is to miss variety. As anyone climb the mountain converge to the shelter and all those who lead down to the foot of the hill, all trails are somewhat the same profile. After some going back, there is a certain monotony sets.

The only track a little different, it's 5 that crosses right through the network trail before forming a loop in gently rolling terrain. This loop then is not to be missed. Even if it is classified easy, there is a very good ski.

Side home, it's pretty rustic. The cottage at the entrance to the trails is cozy but rather cramped. And the toilets are in another building. The refuge in the forest is an old cabin where he yal'essentiel: a good wood stove and a few large tables. His greatest quality is its location. Perched on a ravine, he looks out of a postcard.

All for say I did a great ski weekend in Sutton. I spent the night at the Horizon hotel . It's an old hotel that barely conceals his age. The rooms are "retros" in the sense that they do not offer the level of comfort and aesthetics which is now expected.

By cons, there is a nice pool and a bar that was correct lively evening when I was there. And you can put your skis on leaving the hotel and direct access to trails from Sutton-in-High.
