Vtech Battleship Instructions

Day 6: Day boat in the Gulf of Porto

Today, we rent a motorboat for the day without a permit. There are several rental companies in the port of Porto but all are the same price (expect to pay 115 euros per day and 45 euros for petrol). In the boat, there is a cooler to take lunch, and the lessor gives a map to locate in the Gulf. It is much easier than it seems.

From Porto we visit the Natural Reserve of Scandola on all morning. The place is beautiful with big red volcanic rocks that fall into the turquoise sea. There are plenty of coves to drop anchor for a small picnic or a swim.

For the afternoon, we go across the Gulf of Porto, in the coves of Piana. The landscape is completely different with the white rock, from scrub and water that seems even more turquoise in natural pools. Here, we take the time to bathe in the creeks where the show is also under water. With a mask and snorkel, we discover a multitude of fish of all kinds, it's fabulous location ...

By late afternoon, we climb on the creeks to see the sunset illuminate the gulf, spectacle ... when there is no cloud (it was unfortunately the case for us).
