Wedding Guestbook Introduction

Santorini May 16, 2008 May 17, 2008 May 17, 2008

the agenda of the visit Pyrgos, the climb to the summit of Mount Prophet Elias Monastery where the next visit of the Ancient Thira, then down to Kamari.

We take the bus to Pyrgos Pyrgos
, located at the foot of Mount Prophet Elias (Ilias), is a fortified village called Kastro, the only Santorini have kept its medieval character. After entering the Kastro and made our ride on the roofs, we begin the ascent of Mount Profitis Ilias.

The monastery is located atop the outside and behind is extraordinary buildings and numerous military antennas that disfigures the site so we're looking to continue our journey to the ancient Thira Greek but a guide we recommend strongly to continue our route as too dangerous and that anyway the site of Thira is closed in the afternoon.
Slightly disappointed, we take our lunch at the summit of Mount before descending as the view from the island is beautiful.
We console ourselves by telling us that we will see the church of Exo Gonia closely, which was not possible with the original trail.
Today we made fifteen miles under a bright sun and a temperature of 30 °.

Good show.
