Today is the big day, the hike as expected, the one to go from Fira Ioa up along the caldera. A walk of 12 miles, I hope we will not be disappointed.
As usual we reach Fira and then we head to Ioa trying to find other ways than the first day.
The path is not too difficult except in some places where there have been landslides. By
cons during the summer I think it should be much more painful because of the heat.
landscapes are beautiful and again the sun is present, the temperature around 30 degrees.
reached our goal, we had lunch at a little place where were two magnificent churches and then began a visit to this village, no need to comment the images alone can explain the beauty of Ioa.
We had planned to stay on Ioa to attend one of the most beautiful sunset one can see, but after our walk and after having walked the village for three hours we took the bus to the hotel for a well deserved bath in the pool.
As expected it was beautiful, this hike is required to do when you come to Santorini. We've put about 20 km
